Most of us are never prepared for life altering events that take place to either us, our family, or a friend. Tragedy can strike in an instant.

As a community, we have the ability to come together and support one another, a true showing of force and love. It's true, there is strength in numbers, and each of us can make a difference by doing our part.

Jason Mills from the Augusta Fire Department contacted us to let us know that a very dear and close friend to him, a Firefighter and EMS colleague was just recently made aware that his wife has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

He asked us to pass along the information about a fundraiser that is being put together by The Red Barn Restaurant, in Augusta. Laura and her staff are generously throwing this fundraiser this Thursday (7/29). Half of the proceeds from this event will be going to support the aggressive needs to fight this newly discovered breast cancer.

On behalf of all involved we thank you for your support.

In the years leading up to the pandemic, Augusta was seeing a massive revitalization. It seemed like every few weeks, we were hearing about a new restaurant, store, or other business. That process did continue, at a slower pace, during the pandemic. Now that things are getting back to normal, we want to know what you'd like to see in these spaces. Take a look and then message us through Facebook or our app.

From 1930 to 2006, the Old Cony High School provided a high school education to the teenagers of Augusta, Maine. Now, it serves as senior housing. Thanks to a resident of the building, we can take a look at it.
