Maine in May explodes, and Funtown Splashtown is working hard to be part of the excitement.

But it's not easy. According to a Facebook post, the wet either has made getting the park ready for Memorial Day tough.

Funtown Splashtown is super excited to welcome everyone back. They have been working all off-season to get ready. They've also added a few new additions like more private cabanas and new picnicking areas in Splashtown and of course our NEW DARK RIDE in Funtown. It's the Haunted Hotel ride and it's almost complete. They know that you are going to be absolutely blown away!

That's the good news, so here comes the hard part. Businesses, including Funtown Splashtown, are still dealing with the lack of a workforce. When they made the park's schedule in the late fall of 2022, they were optimistic that there would be an improvement in the employees compared to last summer. Unfortunately, that is not the case.

Because of the continued work shortage,

Funtown Splashtown will again be closed on Mondays for the summer of 2023.

This is the last thing they wanted to do. As they put it,

...the struggle is real.

They are one of Maine's largest seasonal employers, and that makes it even harder for them to fill the positions. That being said, wanna work in the sun at the most fun place on earth? Working at the park can be incredibly rewarding, as you have the opportunity to be outside during the summer, meet and work with guests and team members from all over the world, and be around families who are having an incredible day together as they ‘Create Memories That Will Last a Lifetime’! Apply today!
