These days, we tend to get really concerned when we hear that a business is closing - even if they say it is "temporarily".  Take a deep breath...  It's going to be okay.  They really do have every intention of reopening in just a few weeks.

So, why are they closing?

According to their Facebook page, the heritage Central Maine eatery will be closing due to work being done on the nearby Bridge Street bridge.

Currently, their plan is to reopen sometime around Thanksgiving.

Starting as a lunch counter in the early part of the 20th century, the restaurant has previously been featured on Guy Fieri's "Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives".

Hopefully, the work is completed quickly.  We can't wait for them to reopen!
