Get Ready to Sweat! A New Gym Has Been Approved in South China, Maine!
Is it just me, or are people really starting to care about their overall health a whole lot more than they used to? Maybe it's because the United States has seen an alarming decline in life-expectancy in the last decade (NBC)?
Either way, it seems that people across Maine, and the United States alike, are eager to take their health into their own hands by eating better and becoming more physically active. We're fortunate in Central Maine to have an array of gyms, both nationally and locally owned, to choose from.
From the Kennebec Valley YMCA to Planet Fitness and Smith's, there are gyms all over the map for people to get their workout on at. And, thanks to recent town approval, a new gym is going to be joining the ranks in the area.
According to a Facebook post from Nash's Gym, the China Board of Selectmen has approved the construction of the new fitness facility at 9 Legion Memorial Drive in (South) China.
This comes as welcome news as (at least we don't believe?) there are no other gyms in the China/Windsor area. If you're interested in learning more about the new place, you can view and message them through their Facebook page by clicking here.
We have reached out to the page to get some more information about memberships, the date they plan to open, equipment they will have and potential classes they may be offering.
As soon as we get more information from the owner's, we will certainly pass it on to you! Best of luck Nash's!
