This story has shaken me to the core.  It is so incredibly sad.  Earlier this week, Desiree Strout was headed to the hospital to give birth to her baby boy.  The car, she was driving, hit a patch of ice.  As a result of the accident, Desiree passed away.

Her son was born by emergency c-section where he is currently fighting for his life.  A Go Fund Me account has been set up to help with funeral costs (for Desiree) and medical expenses for the baby.  According to the page:

On January 22nd, 2018, my cousin Desiree Strout passed away in a car accident while on her way to be induced to deliver her third child and first boy.

Also involved in that accident were her husband, Harry Weeks, and her oldest daughter. Harry had extensive damages, but he will recover. Unfortunately, Desiree did not make it.

We're still unsure if the newest member of our family will make it.

Our family is nothing if not strong and united. When something happens to one of us, it happens to us all. With the loss of Desiree, Harry is going to need the time to recover and adjust to a life without his wife.

It is for that reason we would like to help him by covering the cost of Desiree's funeral, and helping as much as we can with their medical expenses.

The plan is to have Harry in charge of the final expenses.

If you are able to donate or even share...the family would greatly appreciate it.
