Goo Goo Dolls Bringing Tour to Bangor, Maine, in 2025

Even though it has only been a few weeks since the 2024 summer concert season came to an end, we are already getting ready for the 2025 concert season.

Last week, the first Maine Savings Amphitheater show of 2025 was announced.  Papa Roach and Rise Against will perform at the Bangor concert venue on September 20th, 2025.

Now, we are getting word about another Maine Savings Amphitheater show.

The Goo Goo Dolls, along with Dashboard Confessional, will take the stage at the Maine Savings Amphitheater on Tuesday, August 5th, 2025.

A staple of alternative rock and pop rock for over three decades, the Goo Goo Dolls formed in Bufallo, New York, in 1986.  Even though they played shows and had several releases nothing really took off until the release of their album A Boy Named Goo.

Released in 1995, A Boy Named Goo spawned several huge hits for the band.  These included Name, Naked, and Long Way Down.

One of the band's biggest hits was Iris.  The song, which was featured on the soundtrack to the 1998 movie City of Angels, peaked at #5 on the Billboard Hot Rock & Alternative chart.

Tickets for the show go on sale at 10 AM on Friday, November 22nd.
