22-Year-Old Maine Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash Tuesday
Maine officials are now releasing more details regarding a car vs motorcycle crash that happened on Tuesday afternoon.
According to a report from WGME 13, 22-year-old, Nolan Irish of Gorham, Maine was riding his motorcycle on Flaggy Meadow Road in Gorham when he crashed into a Honda Civic that was being operated by a 21-year-old woman from Biddeford, Maine.
Police say the fatal crash happened near the intersection of Cressey Road at about 1:30 on Tuesday afternoon. Police say that Irish was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash and the woman driving the car was evaluated by EMS personnel at the scene but was not taken to the hospital.
Police are now searching for a person they say likely witnesses the fatal collision. They say that person was driving a white pickup truck in the same area of the crash when it happened.
WGME reports that the investigation into what led to the crash is still ongoing and area police officers are asking anyone who may have information or know who may have been driving the white pickup truck to contact Gorham Police Detective Stephen Hinkley at (207) 222-1660 ext. 1.
We will continue to keep this story updated as more information becomes available to us.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Nolan's family and friends during this incredibly difficult time and we remind drivers and motorcycle riders alike to use extra caution as the weather warms and more motorcycles take to the Maine roadways.
