According to the KJ, Bolley's Famous Franks in Hallowell will remain closed until sometime in August.

Owner Kim Pooler cited the health and safety of their customers and staff as the reason they chose to remain closed, even as nearly every other Central Maine restaurant scrambled to reopen.  On top of that, the Poolers were concerned about the lack of the important business rush from nearby government offices.

As they own the business, they do not face the same need to quickly reopen as some other establishments.

According to the Poolers, the regular customers that they have encountered in their travels have all been very understanding of their choice to remain closed.
