According to the Lewiston Sun Journal, Harrison's Camp Laughing Grass is a one of a kind, cannabis-friendly, campground.

The campground features traditional campsites, as well as "glamping" campsites.  Right now, the campground has ten sites, but the owner hopes to expand to 20 campsites by next year.

The Crooked River runs through the campground, providing visitors a place to go boating, wading, or swimming.  There's also a common area with a fire pit.

The campground encourages smoking marijuana, discourages drinking alcohol, and prohibits smoking tobacco.

Because of the fact that weed is used on-site, guests need to be at least 21 years old.

Even though the use of marijuana is prohibited at businesses, the owner is able to operate under a loophole in the law.  Because the business does not sell cannabis, and the owners do not operate a cannabis shop, the camp doesn’t fall under the Maine Office of Marijuana Policy’s jurisdiction.

Who knows, there is a good chance the camp could help promote Maine tourism.  As they offer something that many campgrounds cannot legally offer, there is a good chance people will come to Maine specifically to stay at the campground.

Take A Peek At Terramor

Opening in late summer 2020, Bar Harbor's Terramor Outdoor Resort is a breathtaking "glamping" resort. Glamping is glamor camping. Instead of "roughing it" you're camping with all modern amenities nearby. It's really the best of both worlds - the beauty of Maine with a real toilet a few steps away.
