So, your kids are going to be out of school for the next two to four weeks?  How are you going to keep them occupied?  What if they were able to message with their school friends on Facebook?

That's exactly what you can do with the Facebook Messenger Kids app.

Normally, you need to be at least 13 years old to use Facebook.  Linked to a parent's account, Messenger Kids lets children between the ages of six and twelve message other kids and family members.  Basically, anyone that want to add needs to be approved by the adult attached to the parent account.

Even though the app has been around for over two years, it doesn't seem to be widely used.  However, with schools closing (some, with little notice to students) I have a feeling this app could see much more use over the next few weeks.
