I heard from our little birdies over at Maine Biz, that Ocean State Job Lot is not just opening stores in Maine but all grabbing up 15 other former Big Lots locations all over the Northeast. They currently have 159 stores and growing, as per the article.

There are already 8 Ocean State Job Lot’s within the state of Maine, providing us all with great deals and affordable essentials.

The principal owner of CEO of Ocean State Job Lot said,

“Expanding into new markets has long been part of our strategic plan, but like everything else we do, it needs to be done with value in mind,"

But wait, there’s more: They are going to bring more jobs! All the new stores popping up, and that includes the Auburn location, will bring us at least 70 new employees.

When do we get to start shopping?
