Since the very beginning of the pandemic, we have had to deal with occasional supply chain issues.  First, it was a lack of toilet paper.  Then, we saw shortages of non-perishable food items and meats.

Recently, the issues have become of regular thing.

It looks like we are about to see another price increase related to supply chain problems.

According to WMTW, Procter & Gamble have announced that they plan to raise the prices on some of their products, including certain laundry detergents and dryer sheets, due to the increased cost of doing business.

This increased cost all relates to supply chain issues.  Because of these issues, the cost of certain bulk materials has increased.  Also up over the last year are the costs of staffing and transportation.

So, how much will the prices increase?  Right now, they are saying we can expect to see an 8% increase in the price of the products.  So, the price of that gallon jug of detergent that has been $30.29 will jump to about $32.71.  While that may not seem like a lot, all these little price increases really add up over time.

Procter & Gamble also announced that they plan to increase the rates of some of their personal hygiene products in April.  However, they have not yet announced which of their many personal hygiene products will see a price increase.
