What a great day (April 11) at Winthrop Town Beach, Maranacook Lake, for the 2nd Annual 'Ice Out Plunge,' to benefit Special Olympics Maine and the Maine Law Enforcement Torch Run.

Oh sure it was a bit windy...okay, very windy, but it sure didn't stop the brave souls jumping in the very cold lake, but all for a great cause. It's so wonderful seeing a community join forces to put on such an amazing event.

Kudos to Charle Clark from the Winthrop Police Department for all her hard work and dedication to Special Olympics and how about Winthrop Police Chief, Joe Young taking the plunge? You'll see his jump, in full uniform, in the video below, as well as many others!

Thanks for inviting 92 Moose to be a part of the fun!
