According to the Lewiston Sun Journal, the Irving Big Stop Restaurant in Farmington has closed permanently. Because of the pandemic, the restaurant had closed on March 28th.  it later reopened for take-out and, eventually, dine-in service.  But, as with most restaurants, they were limited in the number of customers that could be in the dining room at any given time. As of May 30th, the restaurant closed for good.

According to employees, no reason was given for the closure.  However, one can guess that it has something to do with the economic downturn brought on by coronavirus pandemic.
