UPDATE: Is Frosty’s Donuts Expanding To Augusta?

The sign for Frosty's new Augusta location (on State Street) is up and they have announced their opening date will be this Wednesday (Augusta 7)

We can hardly wait!

It looks like Frosty's Donuts, a staple of Maine donut lovers for over 50 years, may be expanding to Augusta.

In 1965, Bob and June Frost opened the first Frosty's Donuts in Brunswick.  Since then, they have expanded to Bath, Freeport, and Gardiner.  Now, it looks as though a new location may be in the works.

A few days ago, they posted a pic showing a building on their Facebook page.  Not 100% sure, but it definitely looks like the old Fat Cat's Cafe location on State Street in Augusta.

No word on when, or if, an Augusta location will open.
