It’s ‘National Awkward Moments Day’ – Have One You’d Like to Share?

Today is or almost now was 'National Awkward Moments Day'. Let's all say it together, "Awkward." I can think of many awkward moments in my life and almost all of them have to do with relationships in my past.

Back in 1989 when I was 19 I can remember my most recent ex at the time bumping into me and my new girlfriend at the mall. It would have been okay except for the fact, I'm not sure if there was an understanding as to whether my ex at the time and I had actually broken up. So let's just say going hand in hand with my new girl up and the escalator and seeing my ex with while holding hands was awkward.

Awkward was also hanging out with my best friend as he goes out with my ex. I'm totally over it now probably mostly because they ended up breaking up but yes, that was awkward. That too was well over 20 years ago.

Probably my most awkward moment in my life was having to meet Lynn's mother for the very first time and tell her Lynn was pregnant. I must say, she took the news very well. The best mother-in-law anyone could ever ask for.
