Central Maine Woman Arrested on Drug Charges
According to a press release from the Maine Department of Public Safety's Shannon Moss, a 41-year-old woman from the Maine town of Brooks is facing drug trafficking charges following a months-long investigation by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office.
The press release explains that Aimee Brown was arrested Wednesday, October 7, 2026, and charged with two counts of unlawful trafficking of Schedule W drugs and one count of violating conditions of release.
According to investigators, the MDEA Mid-Coast District Task Force and Waldo County Sheriff’s Office had been investigating Brown for several months. The investigation included undercover purchases of cocaine from Brown.
On Wednesday, MDEA agents began surveillance of Brown as they prepared to arrest her on charges stemming from those purchases. Agents later stopped Brown in Burnham after identifying her as the sole occupant and operator of a Subaru Outback.
Brown was arrested, and agents searched the vehicle pursuant to the arrest. No drugs or other evidence were found inside the Subaru.

Investigators said Brown then told agents she had drugs concealed on or inside her person. She was taken to the Waldo County Correctional Facility, where she voluntarily turned over the drugs.
Agents seized approximately 83 grams of cocaine and 20 grams of suspected fentanyl.
Brown was not granted bail because she had previously been released following an earlier indictment charging her with unlawful trafficking of Schedule W drugs and conspiracy to traffic Schedule W drugs.
*NOTE - All suspects are considered innocent until being found guilty in a court of law
The investigation remains ongoing.
