Even though coffee is still considered to be a morning beverage people drink in order to wake up and get motivated, it is quickly becoming a beverage that people are drinking during different times of the day.

A recent survey found that about 46% of people say they often drink coffee in the afternoon.

I completely understand this.  I still have at least a couple of cups of coffee each morning, but I frequently make a stop at one of our great coffee shops in the middle of the afternoon because I really need a mid-afternoon kick in the butt.  Because of this, I love the fact that we have so many coffee shops, both local and chain, spread across Central Maine.

Now, it looks like a popular Dunkin' location has reopened.

Dunkin' at Walmart in Augusta, Maine

After closing several years ago, the Dunkin' located at the grocery entrance of Walmart in Augusta has reopened.  Based on the Google business listing, it looks like it is open daily from 7 AM to 9 PM.  However, you may want to call ahead just in case those hours are not correct.

Before you jump all over me, telling me that this isn't new news, I need to admit that I am not 100% sure when the place reopened.  I know that the location closed in late winter 2025, but I am not sure when it reopened.  I just happened to wander through Walmart the other day and saw that it was back open.

Regardless of when it reopened, it is great that it is back!  This is super convenient for people who are on the run.  You grab what you need at Walmart and then swing in for an iced coffee, latte, or hot chocolate before making your next stop.
