New Hampshire's popular Ice Castles is starting its 12th season on Friday, January 10, 2025.

That's one of the earliest start dates!

If you've never been, you have to make this a winter fun stop. Ice Castles off Clark Farm Road in North Woodstock opens this Friday at 3 p.m.

They will have slides, caverns, tunnels, crawl spaces, and sculptures all made entirely from ice and snow. The award-winning frozen attraction also has a snow tubing hill, Mystic Forest Light Walk, a Winter Fairy Village, and even tubing!

Dress warm and have that camera ready!

Ice artisans (they are true artists!) start in November creating the magic of Ice Castles. It takes a team of about 20 ice artists to build the experience using icicles that they grow, harvest, and hand-place one by one. The ice is embedded with color-changing LED lights which creates something that makes their evening tickets the ones to grab!

It is cool with the changing LED lights at night, but Mother Nature does a pretty good light show herself and you may just want to go both night and day. It's a totally different experience! Either way, enjoy and make sure that your camera is fully charged for great pictures! Ice Castles CEO, Kyle Standifird said in a statement,

We are excited to open the icy gates in our cherished North Woodstock community for one of our earliest dates in our 12-year history. This year, we will unveil a new castle design and illuminate the White Mountain Forest with nearly double the amount of lights.

The colder the better for Ice Castles in New Hampshire

This is the only Ice Castles attraction in the eastern part of the United States. How lucky are we? This is a weather-dependent attraction and cold dry weather just happens to be perfect. So grab your tickets and enjoy!
