Boston Bruins Auction Off Hockey Sticks to Help Maine Shooting Victims’ Families
It's been a really beautiful thing watching Maine come together to figure out how we can best support each other during this difficult time.
It's even more beautiful to see the support trickling in from different states, especially from Boston.
When people ask me why I'm a Boston Bruins fan, it's reasons like this that help confirm my answer.
The Bruins have wrapped their sticks in blue tape (Lewiston school colors) and autographed them to sell. All the proceeds go directly to the victims of the Lewiston shooting and their families.
Of course, I have to mention the Bruins first, but they're not the only team to auction off their sticks in support.
The Anaheim Ducks, their opponent last Thursday night followed suit. I think it's the coolest thing to watch competing teams come together for Maine.
And did you see them also have the Lewiston Strong Jersey during their hockey game? Amazing!
The Bruins Foundation is also pledging $100,000 to help.
Furthermore, here's a list of individual fundraisers for the 18 victims & their families you can donate to:
