As the summer winds down in Maine, all things fall pop up everywhere. Whether that be hay rides or apple picking, corn mazes or pumpkin spiced everything.

Of course, fall also brings on spooky season. A chance for some unique attractions to open up in hopes of delighting fans who want to spend their fall nights with a pit of fear in their stomach.

One of those annual unique attractions in Maine is the Trail of Terror in Saco. For several years running, the organizers have held the Trail of Terror at Aquaboggan Water Park after the summertime hotspot has closed for the season.

The Trail of Terror will return to Aquaboggan this year and it will be centered around a theme. A chance for visitors to tip toe their way through a terrifyingly creep dollhouse. As though you needed additional reasons to be scared along something called the Trail of Terror.

If you've visited the Trail of Terror in the past, there will be several new things to encounter in 2024. The organizers have added three additional scenes to the walk as well as a lot of extra bone-chilling elements to their pre-existing scenes.

All of it will be centered around the Dollhouse of Doom, filled with the lifeless eyes of the childhood dolls so many of us remember.

The Trail of Terror will be open every Friday and Saturday starting October 4 through November 2. There will be three extra operational dates, Sunday, October 13 and 27 as well as Halloween night. More detailed ticket information can be found here.
