This week's eclipse was so dang cool.

Yours truly had fun going outside with colleagues, putting on the glasses, and watching the once-in-a-lifetime astronomical event.

Whether you stayed put for the occasion or were among the thousands who drove up north towards the path of totality, April 7, 2024, was a noteworthy reminder of how amazing our universe is. And that got the gears turning in this writer's head.

We all know that space is incredibly cool, but one component we often take for granted is the stars and constellations. Not only are they pretty, but they're a symbol of centuries gone by. People from ancient civilizations stared right up at those same stars, telling myths of their origins. And isn't it fascinating how when you look at the stars, you're looking thousands and even millions of years into the past? Absolutely incredible.

Anyway, all this talk of space got us thinking. Where are some of the best places to go stargazing in New England? Nothing beats sitting down with a loved one under a cozy blanket and staring up at the night sky.  It's calming, relaxing, and altogether special.

You can obviously see the stars whenever you're outside, but according to your fellow New Englanders, here are the places to go if you're looking for especially magnificent views of the night sky.
