According to the Bangor Daily News, a last minute deal has saved Belfast's Marshall Wharf building from the auction block.

Daniel Waldron and Kathleen Dunckel have inked a deal to purchase the building from the bank that foreclosed on it.  Their goal?  To re-open the Marshall Wharf Brewing Company and Three Tides bar.  Their hope is to be back in operation by spring.

That being said, they hope to start hiring in the near future.

Many credit the Marshall Wharf Brewing Company, which opened back in 2007, with helping start Maine's craft brewing craze.
