
Lewiston Plant Shop Owner Busted for Alleged Drug Trafficking
There is a case that is currently shaking up downtown Lewiston, Maine.
As per the press release from the Maine Department of Public Safety, officials with Maine Drug Enforcement Agency have recently arrested the owner of a newly opened plant store on drug trafficking charges.
As per the press release, the agents spent three months undercover, investigating Sami-Luqman Muhammad’s plant store for drug trafficking.
They were able to purchase cocaine directly from Muhammad, according to the release.
On Monday April 14th MDEA agents were able to execute two separate search warrants. One at Muhammad’s residence at 521 Webster Street in Lewiston and The Garden of Via on 260 Lisbon Street.
The entire operation resulted in approximately 150 grams of cocaine and crack cocaine as well as Ecstasy aka MDMA from his business, as per the press release.
Muhammad was taken into custody and brought to the Androscoggin Jail. His bail is set to $20,000.
