We have been hearing stories about how they are not messing around in Hawaii when it comes to their quarantine for out-of-staters.  Looks like it's true.

According to WMTW, a 38 year old Maine man was arrested after it was discovered that he had left his hotel on several occasions.

Sean Simon, of Bangor, arrived on the island on June 10th.  The general manager of the hotel where he was staying had surveillance video of him leaving the property on at least two occasions prior to the end of his mandatory 14-day quarantine.

He was arrested on June 19th.  Following his arrest, he admitted he left his hotel to visit multiple beaches and shops every day.

Simon's bail was set at $2,000.  He ended up spending the weekend in jail before seeing a judge on Monday.  Simon pleaded out and was immediately put on a plane back to Maine.
