19 & 20-Year-Old Maine Residents Dead After Apparent Murder-Suicide
It was a tragic scene as investigators from Maine uncovered what they say was a devastating murder/suicide.
According to an article published by WGME 13, the bodies of two young Mainers were discovered on Thursday morning at about 6am after police were called to a residence for a welfare check.
When police arrived at the scene, they say they found the bodies of a 19-year-old female and a 20-year-old male. An investigation appears to show that the male subject shot the female, before taking his own life.
Police identified the bodies as 19-year-old Emali Sallee of Lewiston and 20-year-old Tyson Peters of Minot, Maine.
Officials went on to explain that they believe the pair were in a relationship at the time of the murder/suicide.
At this time, the bodies have been taken to the Office of The Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta.
This is a developing story and we will continue to update it as more information becomes available.
Shannon Moss, Maine State Police spokeswoman, went on to say as part of yesterday's press release,
On Thursday, April 11, 2024, the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office received a request for a welfare check at 425 Millett Road in Minot. Deputies responded and checked the residence shortly after 6:00 am and located the bodies of two deceased people. The Maine State Police Major Crimes unit was contacted to assist in the investigation. The two deceased individuals were transported to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) in Augusta where autopsies were conducted.
