Maine Photographer Offers Photoshoots To Frontline Workers
When I saw "frontline worker" what image comes to mind? Doctors and nurses wrapped in PPE? Police officers? Firefighters? All of the above? Yes, and more.
Over the last year, many of us were able to work from home, or were at least able to work away from the public. This was not the case for our frontline workers. They were in the public, putting themselves at risk, every day.
After seeing all the good they have done over the last year, a Maine wedding photographer decided she wanted to do something special for them.
According to News Center Maine, Kim Chapman has organized "fantasy photoshoots" for ten of Maine's frontline workers. She's giving each recipient a pre-shoot makeover, the photo session, and free prints of some of the photos she took.
Chapman has is also working with other local business-people. For example, at one shoot, she enlisted the help of make-up artist Jessica Griffin and personal stylist Hannah Martin.
In order to find her subjects, she hopped on social media. She asked her friends and followers to nominate deserving frontline workers.
One of the nominees was Claire Dufort, a firefighter from Brunswick. Others included people who work at doctors offices from around the state.
