Maine Police Issue Serious Warning Following Apparent Drug Deal at Area High School

Officials in Maine have issued a warning to parents and students alike following an alleged drug deal that took place at Maine's Oceanside High School in Rockland.

According to WGME 13, police are reminding parents to keep their prescription medications in a safe place, and if possible, locked up so that children can't gain access to them.

These warnings come after police say that an alleged drug deal went down recently at the school between two students. WGME is reporting that one of those students, presumably the one that was selling the drugs, has been charged with aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs,

“Parents, please remember to keep prescription medications locked in a secure place and away from kids and teens. Unused or expired medication can be disposed of (free of charge), at the Rockland Police Department, Knox County Sheriff's Office, and other local police departments”
