Maine Police Warn About Virtual Kidnapping Scam

According to WMTW, law enforcement is warning about virtual kidnapping scams in Maine.

Potential victims get a call from the "kidnappers" that claims a relative has been kidnapped.  He or she then demands you wire them money.

If you do receive a call like this, do not send them money, but do report it to the police.
