In a tragic turn of events, an assistant principle from Maine has passed away unexpectedly. According to WMTW, Jacob Brown, assistant principle at Scarborough High School, passed away unexpectedly over the weekend.
Scarborough High School will provide counseling services on Monday for students, staff, and community members following the unexpected death of Assistant Principal Jacob Brown.
In a message sent to families on Sunday, district officials said the day is intended to give the school community time and space to grieve together. Starting at 10 a.m., the high school will offer individual and small-group counseling sessions, along with peer activities in common areas. Officials emphasized that attendance is not required, and there will be no after-school activities.
