According to WMTW, on Wednesday afternoon the Maine State Police got several calls about a trailer truck driving erratically on the northbound side of I-95.   The truck was reportedly weaving between lanes, nearly striking other vehicles on the road.

Troopers quickly found the allegedly drunk driver and pulled the truck over.  Upon investigation, it was determined the driver had a BAC of four times the legal limit.  He was arrested and taken to the Kennebec County Jail.

Keep in mind, because this person has a CDL, the legal limit is 0.04%, half of what it is for people with a regular class C license.

A post on the Maine State Police Facebook page says, in part:

Within minutes a Trooper was able to locate the truck and witness the erratic driving as seen in the photo. The Trooper stopped the truck and made contact with the driver from the State of Ohio. MSP commercial vehicle unit responded and searched the truck for find evidence of hard alcohol in the cab of the truck. Upon investigation, the driver was arrested and charged with Operating Under the Influence as his blood-alcohol concentration was four times the legal limit of .04% while operating a commercial vehicle.

*All suspects are considered innocent until found guilty in a court of law*

Of course, every profession has a few rule breakers.  For the most part, our truckers are the heroes of America.  They keep food on the table, gas in the cars, and clothes (and other products) in the stores.
