Sometimes we all ask for signs, even when we don't where they may come from.

Paula Masselli, a Lewiston resident experienced just that on a snowy evening. What started as an ordinary night quickly turned into something much more meaningful.

This all began when Paula, facing difficult times with her family, decided to take a photo outside of her home.

The snow, freshly fallen on the ground, the night sky so beautiful, Paula was urged to take a snap shot. She had been praying for strength, hope, and healing as her family dealt with serious health challenges.

“I need lots of prayers for two family members,” she shared, and described how deeply personal her prayer requests were.

But that night, she received something unexpected and maybe even, miraculous.

What angelic gift did Paula receive?

As Paula took the photo of the lovely snowy landscape in her yard with her phone, she noticed a blur in the sky.

She snapped the photo, fully expecting it to be on of those blurry shots you end up deleting. But when she looked at it, I am assuming her heart skipped.

What appeared in the photo was no ordinary blur, it was an image of what Paula believes was an angel. To me, it's undeniable.

"I clearly saw an angel," Paula said.

You can see a winged apparition in the photo just above the street light.

Could it have been a trick of the light or a reflection from the street? Perhaps.

But for Paula, it was an immediate answer to her prayers. One that affirmed her belief that no prayer goes unanswered.

Just make sure to look for them.

And because Paula is struggling at the moment, let's all give her the gift of well wishes and prayers, because well, that's what Mainers do.
