Massachusetts Man Arrested After Incident In Benton

State Police say a Massachusetts man was arrested this afternoon (May 15) in Benton after a resident reported that two men were attempting to break into her home on Wyman Road.

According to Maine Department of Public Safety Spokesman Steve McCausland, after being confronted by the homeowner, the two men fled in a car, which was stopped by troopers about a mile away.

McCausland said Tyrone Fleurimont, 31, from Roslindale, Mass., has been charged with criminal threatening.  He was taken to the Kennebec County Jail, McCausland said.

Troopers seized drugs and cash from the vehicle and were taking an inventory of the seizure as they continued their investigation, McCausland added. No one was injured.  Clinton Police assisted troopers with the incident which was reported just before noon.
