National DJ Day- No, Seriously It Is.

I know, I can't believe it's actually a thing either. However, today really is 'National DJ Day'.

While a lot of us here at the station work only in radio, National DJ Day was created to celebrate us wedding and club DJ's.

It's really a love hate relationship with being a mobile DJ. You love the music and the people, but hate the hours. I mean, who doesn't love getting home past 2am am I right? It's been a long road to get where I am now with gigs just about every weekend and a crazy-busy wedding season every spring, summer and fall but I certainly wouldn't trade it for anything else. It's kick-ass!

And let's not forget that we're not always the easiest to love! We live a kind of wild lifestyle with working all day and DJ'ing all night, but it's with the love of family friends that keeps us going. Check out the hottie in the red hat, that's my Fiance, Keri. And while it's been an adjustment for her being with someone who doesn't sleep very much and spends a ton of time being away from home, she's done a great job accepting my life as a DJ. She also doesn't mind the free beer.

And if you ever see her out at the club with me, BACK OFF! haha just kidding, but for real.
