NY Man Arrested, Augusta Man Summonsed, in Augusta Drug Bust
Police executed search warrants at multiple North Street apartments in Augusta on Tuesday morning. The searches led to a drug bust and the arrest of 22 year old Keith Holmes of New York and the issuance of a summons to 26 year old Douglas Krajewski of Augusta.
Holmes was arrested on trafficking of scheduled drugs. Krajewski was summonsed on unlawful possession of scheduled drugs.
At 11 a.m., police executed search warrants in apartments No. 1 and No. 12 at 30 North St. During the search of Holmes’ residence, police seized $450 in cash, three handguns, one rifle and more than 31 grams of fentanyl. Holmes was taken to the Kennebec County jail.
Lully said police found “basic evidence to support to possession of scheduled drugs” during the search of Krajewski’s apartment. He was issued a summons, then released.
The news release said the investigation was “a collaborative effort by the Augusta Police Department, Maine Drug Enforcement (Agency), and Kennebec (County) Sheriff’s Office.”
