It was a tragic ending to a crash early Sunday morning in Central Maine that left one person dead, according to WGME 13.

The news station is reporting that the Androscoggin County Sheriff's Office got reports on Sunday morning that a vehicle crash had occurred near the 100 block of Canton Road in Livermore, Maine.

When emergency officials arrived on the scene, they quickly surmised that there were multiple vehicles involved and that, sadly, one of the drivers had already passed away. The deceased driver was reported to be an out-of-stater.

Currently, there is no reporting on the condition of the other driver, or that driver's identity, hometown or age. Though we will continue to keep this story updated with information that is made available to us, either from WGME 13 or from the Androscoggin County Sheriff's Office.

The news station was reporting Monday morning that a 'crash reconstructionist' had been called into the scene on Sunday to help figure out exactly what had happened that caused the two vehicles to collide with each other.

Currently, officials are reporting that the fatal crash is still under investigation, which is likely why few details have yet to be released.

As this is a developing story we will continue to keep this updated as more information is provided to us from other news sources or from investigators with the Androscoggin County Sheriff's Office.
