This weekend is the 4th annual Ride for Suicide Awareness. Grab your motorcycle, get registered and get to LA Harley on Main Street in Lewiston. The ride will begin at 11:30 but people are welcome to arrive at LA Harley at 9:00 AM.

Registration for this event is completely free, but you can certainly donate to the cause at PaintoPowerME.com. This ride was organized by Nick Danforth after suffering personal tragedy. His story and why this cause is so important to his is below.

My name is Nick Danforth and I am currently 35 years old. I have 3 sons, a beautiful family and I lost my father to suicide on August 30, 2015.

I will never forget the pain it brought upon myself, the feeling of loss it brought my family and the emptiness that filled my heart. It was a year of emotional mess. After going through all the pain and realizing that its not healthy and not what my father would have wanted for me to do, I decided to turn my pain to power.

I will never forget the pain it brought upon myself, the feeling of loss it brought my family and the emptiness that filled my heart. It was a year of unbearable pain and feelings of being lost. After going through all the pain and realizing that its not healthy and not what my father would have wanted for me to do I decided to turn my pain to power… and THAT is where this cause became my power.

So whether you have experienced personal loss like Nick, or you're just looking to get out and support a great cause, plan on enjoying some this weekend's beautiful weather with a motorcycle ride that gives back.
