Post Malone Says I’m Gonna Play Some ‘S****y F****ng Songs’ For Maine Tonight
It has been an epic summer of concerts at Bangor's Maine Savings Amphitheater and it all capped off last night with 'your favorite artist's favorite artist', Post Malone.
We headed up to Bangor early in the day to pregame at the Sea Dog Brewing Company along the river. We spent several hours enjoying cold drinks, hot food and the wonderful company of several friends, many we hadn't seen in quite some time.
And, when you think about it, that really is the best part of the entire concert experience, isn't it? The opportunity to gather with friends and enjoy and afternoon and evening together surrounded by food, drinks and your favorite music.
I have been so dozens of shows at the Maine Savings Amphitheater and there are several of those shows that I rank in my top 5 of all time. Those shows include Luke Combs, Nickelback, T-Pain with Pitbull and now, unequivocally, Post Ma-freakin'-lone.
Posty had some wonderful openers last night including a very talented group of guys from Alabama called Muscadine Bloodline. They rocked the stage for close to 45 minutes before the lights came back up and they set the stage for Post.
Finally, the lights went down and the crowd went wild as a slick guitar riff coupled with pyrotechnic flame throwers and fireworks erupted as Post Malone took to the stage. He played a couple of songs before stopping down to introduce himself.
"Hi, I'm Austin Richard Post", he said to the sold out Bangor crowd. "I'm gonna play some s****y f****ng songs for you guys tonight and I hope you like them" he said with a slight smirk.
And like them we did. From new country songs on his F1 Trillion album that we had never heard before to his classic bangers like Circles, Psycho and White Iverson, Post Malone blew the doors off the Maine Savings Amphitheater last night.
They could not have chosen a better artist to wrap up the season of Bangor concerts and if you weren't there, you totally missed out.
