According to the Bangor Daily News, President Trump is planning to visit the Pine Tree State this Friday.

Reportedly, he plans to visit Puritan Medical Products, one of two worldwide manufacturers of the medical swabs needed to test for the coronavirus.  The company , based in Guilford, received $75.5 million under the Federal Defense Production Act.

President Trump made the announcement on a call between the nation's governors.  Governor Janet Mills pushed back on the plan over concerns that it would cause a security issue.

While the company is based in Guilford, they have a facility in Pittsfield.  It was not clear which location he would be visiting.

In addition to the testing swaps, they also make sample transport medium, tongue depressors, and more.  Get more details about the company on their website
