Puerto Rico is right now just an American territory in the Caribbean. This could change if Congress votes them in as part of the club. If passed, they would become the 51st state. Puerto Ricans voted Tuesday 54% in favor of joining the US as a full state. Now it's up to DC to either yea or nay. I must do a little research on Puerto Rico because sadly all I know about the island is that's where Menudo came from. I guess I know San Juan is the capital but other than that, not much. As it stands, Puerto Ricans cannot vote for President even though they are Americans. Puerto Rico does have representation, albeit limited in the US House. It sort of looks right now that they are second class citizens. Citizenship equality seems fair to me.
