Should Maine Do Away With Marking Tires For Parking Enforcement?
We've all seen it or experienced it here in Maine. With tourists flocking to our small towns those 2-hour parking limits can come in handy. There's always parking enforcement close by, walking around with a long stick with a bit of chalk on the end to keep track of who's been in the parking lot and for how long.
Earlier this week a federal court declared this practice as unconstitutional in Michigan, Ohio, and Kentucky, according to WMTW, noting that it's akin to entering a property without a search warrant.
What do you think of this practice? Do you think it's unconstitutional? Do you think it's a worthy practice for enforcing parking laws?
