Somerset County High on the List of Maine Schools With Low Rate of Measles Vaccinations

According to the Bangor Daily News, the last confirmed case of measles was in 2017 after a patient had traveled overseas. With the continuing trend of anti-vax parents, vaccination rates in Maine kindergarteners are low.

While the CDC recommends children get vaccinated before kindergarten, Maine does allow parents to exempt their children for philosophical reasons, medical reasons, or religious grounds.
