It's been six weeks and two days, or 44 days, since my last cigarette. Do I miss it? No, not really, except for the nicotine I suppose. There is additional progress today; I stepped down from 4mg nicotine gum to 2mg gum. My goal is to ease out of this stage more quickly by basically forgetting about it. Maybe I’ll keep some on hand, or whatever, but at the same time try to concern myself with other things. Somehow I've managed to lose about 5 pounds as well. Not sure how I did that, but I'll take it. My goal is to be off of all nicotine gum/replacement by January 1st, 2013. Last chews will be on New Years Eve. Maybe even with the celebratory beverages I won't want a piece, or even think about it? We'll see. Just keeping you updated and still plugging away at it.
