Where did the summer go? A blink of an eye and it's gone. The kids are back in school and I have all these regrets of things we didn't get to do. One item on our list was to go to the Maine Wildlife Park in Gray. We go every year, but had not made the trek this summer...at least not until today.

Today is the first day of school for most. When did starting before Labor Day become a thing?

Unless you had a personal stake in a film being released this weekend, movies were far from the most important thing happening to you these past couple of days. You can blame the weekend's mostly anemic box office on one thing: the Super Bowl. Everyone spent their money buying snacks and preparing their parties and not going to see 'That Awkward Moment' and 'Labor Day,' both of which opened soft.

Wow what a 3 day mini vacay! Normally my Mom, sister and nephew come in August but this year it didn't happen because my sister had other engagements and Mom didn't want to drive 12 hrs alone. So Mom thought it would be cool to fly in for the long weekend. She flew in Friday after work and aside from waking up this morning at 3 am to drive her to the Jetport all was great.
