It's an eerie sight, nearly three miles below the surface of the ocean. The wreckage of the El Faro cargo ship, which sank during Hurricane Joaquin, rests on the floor of the Atlantic Ocean. It was seen by the public for the first time since the disaster on 60 Minutes Sunday.
The search for survivors of missing cargo ship, El Faro, was called off yesterday, although the investigation into the tragedy will continue. Those aboard are presumed lost at sea and, in all, 33 souls were aboard the ship that sank during Hurricane Joaquin near the Bahamas.
