Saturday, May 18th, 2024, the Burlington, Maine VFW Post 1605 is holding its inaugural Pig Roast & Cornhole Tournament to support our Veterans.

The "Most Maine Thing of The Week" Award goes to Officer Dugas at the Fairfield Police Department. Office Dugas was dispatched this week to help save some wayward little piggies. Our local hero did it with a smile on his face.

I want a pet pig now.

The Oakland Mystery Pig (OMP) is at it again. Now officials have closed the walking trail between Messalonskee middle and high schools. According to the KJ, the OMP scared a woman yesterday (Monday, July 14) and last week frightened two high school kids. Police searched the trail for the OMP but once again found only tracks.

Officials are still looking for a pig in Oakland. The pig is wanted for frightening two kids so badly that they flagged down a police officer Tuesday afternoon. According to centralmaine.com the kids were walking the trail between Messalonskee Middle and High schools when a screaming pig confronted them and chased them.
