When I was growing up in Auburn, we would often go to Pettingill Park and spend hours upon hours in the public playground. This past weekend, I went to a local playground with my friend and his young son and it dawned on my how much they have changed.

I stumbled across this video on my facebook feed the other day. It reminded me of the old slide on the lower playground at Montello School in Lewiston. Boy, times have changed. We had all kinds of scary things on our playgrounds... now kids can't even play tag!
