When I drove by a cow farm for probably the millionth time in my life, something seemed odd.

Score one for the good guys! According to the Augusta Police Department Facebook page, a bald eagle was found on Allen Street and was unable to fly. We love happy endings and great job to all involved.  

The elderly lobster was on the menu at a Florida restaurant before $300 was raised to save him from the kettles and ship him back to his home state of Maine for a quiet retirement at the Maine state aquarium.

Bobby Silcott of The Maine POM Project (Facebook) was in the studio with us talking about a fantastic life-saving apparatus for pets. Oxygen masks, which he gives to fire and rescue departments across the state in order to aid with animal rescues.
