Did you know that, a short drive from Augusta, in the Town of Pittston, there is an entire village for sale?

According to Realtor.com, even though it is a "village" it is still part of a town.  The official address is 1090 Pittston School Road, Pittston, Maine

The property covers about 50 acres and it features four single family homes, a residential duplex, and three separate apartments. There are also spaces for two shops, a nine bay garage, a seven bay garage, an 80 x 100 office/showroom/wash bay garage with plumbing and heating.

Additionally, there are numerous other building spread across the 50 acres.  In total, there are at least 25 structures on the property.  Many of those structures date back to the 19th and early 20th centuries.  In total, here's about 20,000 square feet of usable space in the houses and other buildings.  There's even a church and an old school antiques shop.

Considering the property covers 50 acres, it should not come as much of a surprise that there is lots of unused land.  There are trees, rolling hills, ponds, and more.

You Could Own An Entire Central Maine Village

The possible uses for the property are endless!  Pending zoning approval, of course.  It could be used as a massive wedding venue, a corporate retreat (if you added a few extra dorm buildings), or a production lot for period movies (hey Netflix and Hallmark Channel, are you looking for a new place to make some movies?).  Or, you could create your own gated community and parcel out the homes to other people.

With a price tag of $5.5 million, your monthly cost would be $23,000.  Assuming you put down about $1,000,000.  This would cover mortgage, taxes, and insurance.  Honestly, given everything the place includes, that price seems really cheap.

So, what would you do with it?  Lets us know through our app or on Facebook.
