Tax Day 2018 Is…

April 17^th!  You got that right.  So according to Turbo Tax  you need file your extension, e-file or postmark your individual tax returns by midnight April 17th.

But what about April 15^th?  It’s a Sunday.  So it goes to the next business day.

BUT what about Monday April 16^th?  It is Emancipation Day in Washington DC. So it is a holiday.  In Maine and New Hampshire it is also Patriot’s Days holiday commemorating the battles of Lexington and Concord.  BUT everybody gets the extra day because of Emancipation Day.

From what I understand for 2019…it will be Monday April 15^th.
